It was a Friday night, time to spend a whimsical evening with the top interior designers in Singapore. The place, Marriott at South Beach Tower. The epicenter of the Singapore Interior Design Awards. Where the best of the region are given credit for their creativity, passion and work as Designers.
Society of Interior Designers Singapore
The event is yearly organized by the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDS)started in 1994 and is one of the oldest professional society to represent the Interior designers & interior design industry as a whole. As a non-profit organization that serves the interior design industry at a national level, the council headed by its President Mr. Keat Ong, sets stringent tasks to raise and uphold the professional standards and reputation of the Interior Design profession in the country.
Singapore Interior Design Awards
The SIDA Competition provides an international platform to showcase the works of interior designers from all over the region. From concept, speculative and suggestive works to actually built environments. The competition offers much needed recognition for the interior designer’s creativity and hard work. The Terms and Conditions for Participation for future competitions are highlighted on the SID-Singapore website.
The Gala Evening
The evening was filled with pomp and pageantry as the winners were awarded onstage amidst the presentation of their works on the big screen, showcasing the winning designs in full view for hundreds of industry professionals to see. The awards ceremony was accompanied by a five fortune combination appetizer a 6-piece meal and free flow of drinks.
Gracing the event are Singapore renowned Architects, Mr. L.H Lim, Lifetime Achievement Awardee, as well as the founder and Principal Partner of LTW Designworks and Ms. Rita Soh the Managing Director of RDC Architects Pte Ltd.

The night was capped by photos of the awardees and council members and with much success SIDA 2020 will be an event to lookout for next year!
